Muswellbrook Golf Club was the venue for November’s Chamber Breakfast where those attending were given a presentation on the history of the club, what is happening now and what is planned for the future.
October Chamber Breakfast
Those attending our October Breakfast were there to hear fist-hand some the exciting initiatives the Chamber is planing to roll out over the coming twelve months.
September Chamber Breakfast
Our September Breakfast held at the Muswellbrook Race Club saw State Upper Hunter MP Michael Johnsen and Anna Zycki from the RMS give an update on the Muswellbrook Bypass Project.
New Board Elected at AGM
At our recent AGM our new Board members were elected. There were eight positions to be filled with eight nominations received. We thank those elected for their support and commitment to the Chamber and its members.
August Chamber Breakfast
An attendance of just under 130 was on hand to hear presentations from local mining companies outline their local procurement policies and channels. Representatives from the likes of BHP, C-Res, MACH Energy, Bengalla, Thiess and the Upper Hunter mining Dialogue spoke about their community engagement and procurement.
July Chamber Breakfast
Our July Breakfast saw a presentation by NSW Police where they outlined their local police strategies and the new ‘Rise Up’ program initiative.
Mangoola Coal Site Tour
Recently the Chamber’s Board of Directors were invited on a tour of the Mangoola Coal Operations. The tour included an insight into their open cut operations and rehabilitation programs. Their rehabilitation initiatives in particular deserve recognition and to be congratulated.
June Chamber Breakfast
A large audience attended our June Chamber Breakfast to hear Mayor Martin Rush present a detailed analysis of Council’s 2019/20 Budget and the way in which Council is responding to community risks associated with the long-term declining significance of thermal coal.
2019 Careers Day
The Chamber had a representation at this years Careers Day held at Muswellbrook High School. Students from both Muswellbrook and Scone high schools attended to see and speak with an array of career options on show.
May Chamber Breakfast
A large crowd attended the May Chamber Breakfast themed around a ‘Focus on Education’. Speakers addressed education, training, careers and skills needs and opportunities in the area.
